Fair Housing Certification Course

VAMA’s very own Fair Housing course, which will outline the various key components of Fair Housing as well as delve into some of the current critical issues at the forefront of Fair Housing today.  Students will be challenged to look past what they “know” and think about each fair housing topic anew.

Keeping Fair Housing programming fresh and relevant will help students and industry professionals think about it in new ways while maintaining the core education on protected classes and the history of Fair Housing laws.

VAMA intends to foster higher individual compliance and awareness by increasing the student’s understanding of the nuances of Fair Housing law and practice.  Join us for this 3-hour course to renew not only your Fair Housing Certification but your understanding of the law.

Virginia Fair Housing Certification Approval:  This course is approved by the Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR) Real Estate and Fair Housing board to meet the Fair Housing Certification requirement in the state of Virginia.  After completing the course, students must complete the required application steps with DPOR to obtain their Virginia Fair Housing Certification.  Once application is received and approved by DPOR, students will receive notification of their Fair Housing Certification approval.  Students must review this certification every 2 years as required by law.   

CEC’s Available:  You will receive 3 continuing education credits for attending this event that you may apply to your CALP, CAM, CAPS, CAMT or CAS Credential.  This course can be submitted to the Virginia Fair Housing Board for fair housing requirements.

Celebrate Our Maintenance Professionals at the VAMA | CVA Field Day!  
Join us as we honor and appreciate the hardworking maintenance professionals who keep our industry running smoothly.  While we are celebrating maintenance, this exciting event is not limited to maintenance staff alone.  We encourage all members to join us as enthusiastic spectators to cheer on your maintenance teams OR join their team and compete alongside them in a variety of field games.  This will be a fun team bonding opportunity!  Due to limited teams, we do ask that supplier companies only purchase teams if they are inviting maintenance professionals to play on their team (at least 50% of any team should be maintenance professionals since this is a maintenance appreciation event).

What to Expect:
  1. Games:  Teams of 6 will compete in six thrilling field day challenges, with the top 6 teams advancing to a Tug of War championship bracket.
  2. Prizes:  Awesome prizes will be awarded to the champions!
  3. Entertainment:  Enjoy music, delicious food, and refreshing beer & other beverages.
  4. Networking:  Wrap up the summer by connecting with local industry professionals.

Fair Housing Certification Course

VAMA’s very own Fair Housing course, which will outline the various key components of Fair Housing as well as delve into some of the current critical issues at the forefront of Fair Housing today.  Students will be challenged to look past what they “know” and think about each fair housing topic anew.

Keeping Fair Housing programming fresh and relevant will help students and industry professionals think about it in new ways while maintaining the core education on protected classes and the history of Fair Housing laws.

VAMA intends to foster higher individual compliance and awareness by increasing the student’s understanding of the nuances of Fair Housing law and practice.  Join us for this 3-hour course to renew not only your Fair Housing Certification but your understanding of the law.

Virginia Fair Housing Certification Approval:  This course is approved by the Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR) Real Estate and Fair Housing board to meet the Fair Housing Certification requirement in the state of Virginia.  After completing the course, students must complete the required application steps with DPOR to obtain their Virginia Fair Housing Certification.  Once application is received and approved by DPOR, students will receive notification of their Fair Housing Certification approval.  Students must review this certification every 2 years as required by law.   

CEC’s Available:  You will receive 3 continuing education credits for attending this event that you may apply to your CALP, CAM, CAPS, CAMT or CAS Credential.  This course can be submitted to the Virginia Fair Housing Board for fair housing requirements.

  • Access to a computer with a webcam is required to take the final exam or ability to travel to an approved testing center.
  • Complete and pass the final exam.
