CVAA's Board of Directors is the principal body responsible for overseeing all aspects of the association. Additional responsibilities of the board include:

• Determining the organization's mission and purpose.
• Providing proper financial oversight.
• Ensuring adequate resources.
• Ensuring legal and ethical integrity and maintain accountability.
• Ensuring effective organizational planning.
• Recruiting and orienting new board members and assessing board performance.
• Enhancing the organization's public standing.
• Determining, monitoring, and strengthening the organization's programs and services.

In order to carry forth these responsibilities CVAA's Board of Director's holds monthly board meetings. All members of the association are welcome to attend and may requested time to speak in front of the board on any issue. To request speaking time please send your request via email to the CVAA office so that you may be placed on the agenda for the upcoming meeting. CVAA's Board of Directors utilizes parliamentary procedure as a method of conducting business at all board meetings.
